The Antidote to the Big Airport

Lebanon County invites its visitors to tour its many historical attractions, experience its wide-ranging restaurant options, and enjoy its recreational opportunities. Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area, owned by the Pennsylvania Game Commission, is located on the Lebanon-Lancaster county border. This is a great area for hikers, birdwatchers, photographers and others of the like.

For a family-friendly historic attraction, a trip to the Union Canal Tunnel Park is a definite "to-do"! The park, which is maintained by the Lebanon County Historical Society is the oldest tunnel in the United States. Designated as a national historical landmark in 1994, the park is free (although there is a fee for boat rides through the tunnel) to the public and offers a scenic picnic location.

The Mount Hope Estate & Winery offers exemplary entertainment appealing to a wide audience on its grounds off of PA route 72.  Events hosted at Mount Hope include, the PA Renaissance Faire, various theatre events, outdoor activities, a wine & gift shoppe, and the Swashbuckler Brewery.  A full calendar of events and ticket purchasing are available at www.parenfaire.com.
