Welcome to the Harrisburg International Air Service Development Initiative. 

South Central Pennsylvania is the fastest growing region in PA and is an emerging player on the international stage.  More airline service and more competitive airfares at Harrisburg International Airport will help our region continue to grow and thrive economically. 

We're asking business travelers, travel agents and corporate travel planners to let us know how often and why they fly on an airline at an airport other than HIA.   
 
Flying from HIA saves you time, gas, additional parking costs and the hassles associated with long tedious drives through traffic to airports hours away.  During 2007, nearly 1.3 million people chose to fly into or out of HIA on one of the seven airlines at the airport.  However, more nonstop flight options and lower airfares forced at least that many to drive hours out of their way to fly. 

Record high gas prices, pending mergers and bankruptcies are leading to air service cutbacks at cities throughout country.  With your help we can keep the levels of service we have today and grow levels of service to and from our region in the future!
