The Antidote to the Big Airport | ||

While Atlanta is currently the number 3 overall destination for HIA travelers, we know that many of you regularly fly to and from Atlanta from BWI due to much lower prices and larger, more comfortable aircraft. Attached please find a spreadsheet that we need you to complete as best as you can so that we can show Delta officials exactly how much Atlanta traffic and revenue they could earn at Harrisburg rather than at BWI or PHL. (This same info will be given to AirTran in efforts to have them to consider ATL service as well). We need to have these surveys completed and returned to us either via e-mail to HIANetwork@SARAA.org, or fax at (717) 948-4636 by the end of the day October 23rd, 2008. No corporate names or contact information will be given to these officials, just the figure totals. We’ll be glad to share the results of this survey with you and the results of our meeting in early November. In addition to ATL, any information you could provide on CVG, DTW and MSP would be appreciated as well. While we don’t expect any immediate changes, hopefully in 2009 we can get more service to and from these key destinations on larger aircraft and with more competitive fares.
