Mead Avenue Project

A ground breaking ceremony held on September 20, 2010 officially kicked off the construction for the Meade Avenue project. The local board of Commissioners worked over a number of years with various entities to make this project become a reality. Parties involved in making the project happen are Penn State University, ABBCO Real Properties, Inc, SARAA and the Dauphin County Board of Commissioners.

The Meade Avenue Project will improve access from Route 230 (via the Airport Connector) to the industrial properties located north of the Penn State Harrisburg campus, thus reducing industrial traffic through the main entrance of the campus.

Township residents will also benefit with a safer route to travel from Rosedale Avenue to Route 230.
