Frontier Airlines Adds Nonstop Harrisburg-Orlando Service

DENVER (Feb. 28, 2012) – Frontier Airlines announced today that it will offer year-round, nonstop service between Harrisburg, Pa. (MDT) and Orlando, Fla. (MCO) beginning May 24, 2012. The new service will operate four days each week and build on Frontier’s recently announced nonstop service from Harrisburg to Denver.

“We’re very pleased to provide travelers in the Harrisburg area with Frontier’s low-fare, customer-pleasing service to Orlando,” said Greg Aretakis, vice president, Network and Revenue for Frontier. “Harrisburg demands a good value in air fares, and our combination of great prices and a world-class destination is what this community has been asking for.”

Introductory fares for the Harrisburg-Orlando service begin at $90* each way. This fare, which includes all taxes and fees, is available at FrontierAirlines.com through March 14, 2012, for travel through Sept. 9, 2012. Reservations on the route are currently available only from Frontier Airlines; sales through other outlets will begin Sunday.

“We are extremely excited about Frontier's announcement of new low-fare, nonstop service between Harrisburg International Airport and Orlando International Airport,” said Timothy J. Edwards, executive director of the Harrisburg airport. “We trust that Frontier's quality service and affordable fares will be enthusiastically supported by travelers throughout all of Central Pennsylvania.”

The new Orlando route will operate on 138-seat Airbus 319 aircraft – featuring leather seats, five rows of STRETCH seating with an additional 5 to 7 inches of legroom, and 24 channels of DirecTV® with three channels of hit movies available at every seat.
