Throughout the year, we publish various reports pertaining to the operations at HIA. When these reports are completed, we post them to our website for the public to read.

Passenger Facility Charges
When a passenger flies on a commercial airline in the United States, a portion of each tickets' cost is called a Passenger Facility Charge. These charges are approved in advance by the FAA and the airlines, and are capped by Congress. The PFC's are collected by the airlines and paid to the airport from which a paying passenger departs. The current collection rate at Harrisburg International Airport is $4.50 per enplaned passenger.

These monies can be used by the airport for certain improvement projects as allowed and approved by the FAA and the airlines. These reports, filed quarterly, are used by the airlines to track the monies collected and the approved expenditures associated with them. SARAA is posting them on our Web site in order to save on distribution charges.
