SARAA approves new LED lighting for garage

The SARAA Board awarded a contract for $62,698.40 to Schaedler Yesco Distribution to install 181 LED lighting fixtures above the rental car area in the HIA parking garage.  “This will be our third LED lighting project at the airport since last summer,” said Sembach.  “Over the past few months HIA has saved about $7,000 in electric costs related to lighting alone.  This project has a payback of about 2.7 years and is eligible for a $23,600 rebate through a Met-Ed Act 129 Energy Efficiency incentive program.

The next SARAA Board meeting will take place on Wednesday, March 25th, 2015 at 8:00 am, in the David C. McIntosh Boardroom on the third floor of the HIA terminal building.
